Take off onto the rooftops and down the last two waves of enemies. When the girl runs off, restock the sniper rifle and switch back to your AK. If you need to, fall back a little into the room to get more dead space from enemy fire, but note that your field of fire will be greatly reduced. It is imperative to down the gas-mask goons, as they will kill the girl instantly. Down the gasmask and bio-suit wearing guys who try to capture the girl, and hose the regular enemies with your regular AK. Your goal now is to keep what's-her-face alive by snniping at select enemies across the chasm. Take up the weapon, and keep in mind that you only have 15 rounds at any one time. Past the hole in the apartment is an infinite sniper rifle (respawns infinitely, not infinite ammo). Waste the mo'fugger'chuggers who storm the apartment and get ready to do some sniping action. You want to be behind the bar and counter when the enemies blow open a hole in the wall and attack you.

In the apartment, get down, go to the room to your left (after you enter) once the windows break from gunfire. Use up the SMG ammo when and where you can, and swap for new weapons when required. For the most part, you will find an AK-74u on the second level (the one below the floor with the appliance roadblocks), but you will need to save one slot for a sniper rifle for a special mission. Work the SMGs and what weapons you have slowly, as the tight confines mean you have to cross open ground to get new ammo and weapons. Head to each level of the flat and waste the enemies on your side first, then the other side. The support columns on the side of the space are good solid cover. Note that enemies won't start firing until you do, so if you can move quickly into position (and cover) before attacking, that would be idea. Naturally, if you are playing on the hardest difficulty, this may prove problematic. If you can somehow make it to the security door past the two parked cars, you can actually exit this area without penalty.
